Junior Historians Club

This summer, the iron gates of Friar’s Bush graveyard are opening for children for the very first time. Junior Historians Club is a brand new way for kids who love history to explore new places, learn new things and have fun - all led by a real historian.

For our very first event, Robbie Meredith from BBC News came along to find out more about Junior Historians Club.

Each Grim Graveyards event includes a tour of the graveyard focused on stories for children, learning all about deadly diseases at Plaguey Hill and then a bespoke activity pack for the children (and their grown-ups) to exercise their brains & explore the history contained in the graveyard.

Some of our first Junior Historians were brave enough to speak to the BBC about their time at Junior Historians Club & what they were learning. Big thanks to Nellie, Eleanor and Scarlett for being such history superstars!

A big thank you to Robbie & the BBC for covering this new event & to all our Junior Historians (& their grown ups) for being so accommodating.
